dragged across the yard

Today was a great work out with my trainer and partner today for a solid hour. We train every thursday, once a week and on alot of weeks it is my only weight workout that week.

I love boxing so was thrilled to do that, plus we also did the thing like they do on the Biggest Loser where you try and run but get dragged backwards with a belt or tension band. Crazy hard but super fun.

Things we did include:

  • Hold Squat on Bosu for 30 seconds
  • Hold one-legged Squat on Bosu for 15 seconds, each leg
  • Jump between one legged squats on Bosu for 30 seconds
  • Chest to chest ball throws on Bosu
  • Boxing! I love boxing.
  • Running while attached to rope and being dragged backwards

Set 1 – two sets of everything

  • Burpees holding a bosu – 10
  • Lunges. Holding 10 lbs in each hand, lunge forward with one leg, deep lunge then press back really using your front leg.  Switch legs , 10 each leg.
  • Pull-ups on the TRX
  • Hamstrings back thrusts on the TRX
  • Squat jumps holding medicine ball. Holding ball between your hands squat down bringing ball with you, then jump up and bring ball over your head, land soft and low. 12.

Set 2 – two sets of everything

  • On a blance board, holding a 10lb weight in each hand shoulder raises with arms at right angles – 10.
  • Squat to deltoid pull using tension band. 10 each side,.
  • 10 bicep curls on TRX
  • 10 push-ups on TRX
  • 10 tricep pushes on TRX
  • With tension band around ankle reach out as far as you can with your right foot, squat down. Come up and bring left foot together with right. Repeat other side, making sure toes don’t turn out. Do 20.
