Aug 25 Workout

Today was another workout with my trainer, usually it is on Thursday but we had to move it this week.   I was actually feeling really off and under the weather and totally didn’t want to go. It is amazing what motivation you have when you pay $30 an hour for something.  The great thing was, it was a great workout and I felt so much better afterwords.

Here is what we did.

Warm-up:

  1. Chest to Chest mini Medicine Ball throws, 10 each
  2. Chest to Chest mini Medicine Ball throws on one foot, 10 each
  3. Shot-putt throw from hand of the same foot you are standing on. Squat down, pause 1-2 seconds, explode and throw, 10
  4. Repeat #2 and #3 on opposite foot.
  5. 30 seconds running drill on spot, 3 steps on each side of line.
  6. 30 seconds running drill on spot, left foot forward.
  7. 30 seconds running drill on spot, right foot forward.
  8. 30 seconds cross overs.
  9. Walking High Knee-Ups onto toes across room
  10. Walking High Skips across room
  11. Walking High Knees across room
  12. Walking Butt kickers across room
  13. Walking lunges across room and back
  14. Walking Squat across room and back
  15. 1 minute jumping rope

Legs Circuit: ( x 2)

  1. Step Lunges with 15lb weights in each hand, 20 total, 10 each leg
  2. 10 jumping lunges
  3. With 15lb weight in right hand step up with right loeg, bring knee up while doing a bicep curl then an overhead press. Do 8-10, then switch legs
  4. Hamstrings on teh TRX. 10 press-outs, 20 bicycles, 10 hip drives.

10 minutes of boxing

Chest and Back (x 2):

  1. Pull-ups on the TRX – 10
  2. Push ups on the TRX – 15
  3. Flys with 15lbs in each hand on ball. 15
  4. Standing bent over row. Palms up. Do 10

We also did a few minutes of core, including some planks, crunches and back work.
