The first thing I realized when I woke up at 6am, was that it was raining, and it was still dark. I don’t know how I missed summer morning running but I guess it is back to dark, wet, morning runs. Good thing I love the rain.
This morning’s run was much more pleasant then Tuesday’s. I ran a slightly hillier route through an affluent neighborhood near me and counted how many automatic sprinkler systems were on. My HR was slightly higher then Tuesday and is likely cause it was hillier. I still had to slow myself down on several occasions and was a little faster then I should be but it is cause it just felt so darn good.
My IT band is feeling a bit better but is still really tight, I did a few yoga stretches last night while watching Glee(!!!), and I think that really helped. That said, I think it is good tomorrow is a rest day, I am going to try and squeeze in a real yoga session just to really get stretched out.
